Among the attractions of the area are tennis courts just a few yards from the house, a tourist office, small movie theater, chapel, hiking club and cycling association. In winter, one can leave the house wearing skis; cross-country and downhill runs abound. A bakery, grocery store, post office, one hotel and one restaurant are a brief walk from the chalet. No traffic is allowed in the village. Visitors are invited to park and forget their car after unloading. Albertville, site of the 1992 Winter Olympics, is a few miles away.
